Stan thinks public education should be done away with. Obviously, capitalism will provide whatever education is necessary and make a hell of a profit while they're at it.

I think all sports, music and art programs should be removed from public education altogether. They became incorporated into it as part of the progressive movement of the late 19th and early 20th century as a way for government to control athletic and artistic processes. Before that, there was far more sports, music and art in our society than there is now - it just wasn't controlled by the government, but by individuals and private clubs and organizations.

Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.

Uhhh...what? You think that there are no sports, music and arts groups/clubs/organisations that aren't controlled by the government? Seriously? Believe it or not, when I did music the teacher taught us music (tried to at least) rather than politics. You think that the Left is trying to suppress independent thought by making kids exercise? Are fat people more Conservative?

Oh, especially in schools. In fact, it'd probably be better to do away with every school that isn't explicitly religious conservative - we wouldn't want kids being unfairly influenced, after all! 'The People' don't want evolution being taught? Well, 'The People' know best! Flood geology may be an entirely retarded field, but the small self-governed communities of illiterate rednecks know best!

Oh yes! Hallelujah! I can finally see the conspiracy directed towards Christianity perpetuated by the Evilutionists and science as a whole. Ohh, it's all so clear. I can finally see why the US should be disintegrated into trillions of smaller countries. It all makes sense now.

Their plot to weaken the US with homosexuality, feminism, social Darwinism, convincing people that shockingly immoral acts are perfectly acceptable because "we're all just monkeys anyway"!? Phhh. I ain't no stinkin' monkey. Did you know that the only reason Obama got elected was because of the twisted Leftist media? Also, he used brainwashing techniques during his speeches, like how he uses a round emblem, repeats words, and moves his hands when he talks. It's all very scientific, and not the dumb Secular science either.

I think the school pays the coach, but they give him other stuff to do so they can call him a "teacher." Our coach taught Drivers Ed. But going back to your OP, there must be some part of it funded by the school system or they wouldn't be talking about eliminating sports to save money.

Don't forget the cheerleading coach, too. My sister had that neat little bonus rilling in to her when sshe was teaching.

Stan thinks public education should be done away with. Obviously, capitalism will provide whatever education is necessary and make a hell of a profit while they're at it.

Stan's grandfather thought covered wagons should be done away with. "If God wants covers on our wagons, he'll put 'em there!"
