This story pretty much led all the the cable news shows today: It was announced that the Obama Administration, when asked by a judge for a definition of "Enemy Combatant," realised they didn't have one. As a result the term will no longer be used in any official government document. As alternatives, may I suggest: Enemy Nannies and/or Unfriendly Fuzzies?

At least we can all be grateful they didn't relabel them "Prisoners Of War" thus entitling them to all the protections of the Geneva Conventions...

Someone might have pointed out that we're not at war.

Correct, you are not at war. However, this story [^] is looking interesting. What should Obama's response be?

There's nothing to worry about there. They're just discussing technical possibilites. They said so. Why should he have a response? You don't think he shouldn't believe them, do you? Are you suggesting the Russians would test a new president by beefing up the weapons capability of Cuba? How could you imagine something like that?

How cynical of me to think that those dastardly Russians would ever dream of using Cuban or Venezuelan air bases for housing Russian Strategic Bombers, or even considering to test the new leader of western democracy in a new duel of "Playing Chicken".

I'm glad you have come to grips with your wrongthink. Rightthink will follow soon, comrade.

Hey, that's a step up from "this information is classified to protect national security"
