Appropriate and of interest to the developer community
-
Part of the mission statement of Soapbox 2.0 after we were banished here for being irrelevant is that posts there be of interest to the developer community and appropriate or be immediately deleted. Since Brady Kelly's missive to his massive morning bowel movement has been up for four days now, I interpret that means the topic is both of interest to developers and appropriate for the forum.

ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!!!The real question is, why does the 'soapbox' link on the main menu still point in here ? Chris said he knew the other day, and was fixing it.

He's come to his senses? Realized that the action has stayed here and SB 2.0 is a flop? ;)

ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!!!It seesm to me that both this commune and SoapBox2 (whatever the hell that is supposed to be) are dead. Chris has, effectively, killed off the fun and frolics that existed in the less than perfect original SoapBox: I find myself returning through habit rather than with a glint in my eye and mischief in my heart. Shame.

One of the real bonuses of the change, for me, was that the stupid and vulgar posts that originate in the lounge (and now, apparently, Soapbox lite) are not moved here. Chris has painted himself into a corner where he must either delete an offensive post or allow it to sit there and hope that it will garner enough 1's.

The bastard killed a thread startedby AndyInUK about an hour ago from the Lounge. Had a witty sub-thread with me and Alison Pentland but all gone now. Click the reply link in an email and went to nowhere.
