Come on, guess[^] Despicable bastards, complete corruption of the legislative process - despicable regardless of the bill's goals. I predict either a complete turn over in the 2010 congressional elections or damn angry peasants.

Could be, but if that puts the Republicans back in power, we've simply gone through another round of trading in TweedleDee for TweedleDum, ethically speaking. So I'm hoping for peasants with pitchforks - and M16's.

I don't think the possibiliy is all that remote. fyi - I stopped by a local hardware store over the weekend specifically to pick up 2 pitchforks, I want to attach these to a luggage rack on my older vehicle to make a point as I shlep around town. The store had a wall of different gardening implements with one empty slot. The empty slot was for pitchforks, they were sold out but were expecting a shipment tomorrow. ya think?

of course not, but the Democrats are hypocritical in the extreme. we have a Democrat as President, who ran on openness and transparency yet demands requests for information requests be done via a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act, and a Democrat congress elected on a platform of, being "the most ethical congress evah" and they gut a passed bill and totally replace the content with something that wouldn't pass without the scam - and you want to say, "oooh the republicians do it too" ??
