Wouldn't it be nice.[^] These type of people really offer nothing of discourse of the news IMHO. Just the facts and all of them would be nice.

"Learning How to Think" In my experience, most of the deciders have certainly skipped that learning step. The economic bailout is paralleled repeatedly here in my shop and previous establishments I have worked at. The workers, in this case programmers, have to bail out management from the failures of their horrid decisions (made while ignoring the cautions from the workers who actually know stuff), on a recurring basis. The term "ignorant monkeys" frequently can be heard escaping from my lips. Watching and listening to the buffoons for any extended period of time is just not possible. It's like watching a really really bad movie when the badness of everything about it just becomes awkward.

Someone once defined "expert" as someone who thinks he has nothing left to learn about a subject. I've met a number of those folks in my life. I've enjoyed those times when I was around to see them (and those around them) realise just how far off the mark they can be. However, it has come to light that a number of folks did know exactly what they were doing - ripping off other people - and there were a number of economists (especially in the Austrian school) that predicted what happened last fall as long as five years ago.
