Own a legitimate business and have a really good accountant. Mine is insanely good at finding every thing we can possibly do to be as tax efficient as possible. To paraphrase Warren Buffet; my assistant pays more in taxes than I do.

I think you hit on a growth field, never thought about it before but accountants who specialise in corporate and personal taxes and tax law will be in very high demand going forward.

When shopping for a good accountant, simply ask him or her how much two plus two is. If they answer "four," keep looking. If they answer "usually four, but sometimes three and change, or sometimes a little less than five" keep looking. If they ask, "How much do you want it to be?" You have found your guy.

Our Interview included something like that. It was more along the lines of: Q: What tax bracket should we be in? A: What tax bracket do you want to be in? It wasn't magic but, after the first two years he really got us down. What is best about his service is that as part of his fee he will evaluate the tax implications of everything we do for our business.
