Nah, you can have a second chance... Real or fake...[^]

Will moderators have a charter ? WIll it also be made public ? One thing that killed the MSDN forums was the assigning of moderators who had no clear charter as to what they should moderate, and then they fought it out amongst themselves in public. Well, one big issue was they gave the mod power too freely, too, but it would be nice for people to know what they can be moderated for. My vote would go to Oakman. He's here a lot and he's level headed and fair. I think he'd use his powers for good, not evil.

Christian Graus Driven to the arms of OSX by Vista. "I am new to programming world. I have been learning c# for about past four weeks. I am quite acquainted with the fundamentals of c#. Now I have to work on a project which converts given flat files to XML using the XML serialization method" - SK64 ( but the forums have stuff like this posted every day )

You mean like a constituition, no one has-believes-or adheres to a constituition. If you must have one it has to be a living breathing charter, and it can be violated at any time for the common good at the community.

As CP is worldwide, covering a variety of timezones, assumning they would accept the tasks, I would recommend ... Far East & Australia - Christian Graus Indian Sub-Continent - Vikram A Punathambekar Europe & Africa & Middle East - John Theale (aka Zep) Americas - Jon Oakman

Why they are bad choices; Far East & Australia - Christian Graus He does not like guns, he has a beard and lives in Austrailia. Indian Sub-Continent - Vikram A Punathambekar He tells dumb jokes, well he told one good joke but all the rest were bad. Europe & Africa & Middle East - John Theale (aka Zep) He's a socialist, but he's comming around. On the other hand his moniker has Zeplin which is close to Led Zeplin, and that's not all bad. Americas - Jon Oakman He get's mad easy and he has a gun (which is not bad as long as he's not mad at you), he lives in South Carolina, and he still is mad as hell about Shermans march.

With John moving to a new country and job he might not want, nor have time for any moderator task. You are very kind to consider myself as a candidate but I'm not sure that I have the right qualities for the task. If John could not, then somebody else from Europe/Africa/MiddleEast region might be sought such as Bassam Saoud. As most CP members are North American it is wise to have 2 appointed moderators from there thus your name to join Rob's. Charter - that would need a bit of thought. Whatever it turns out to be, it would need to be OK'd by Chris Maunder (for legal and other reasons) so he would need to be in on the negotiations.

I'll add a vote for Bassam.

                    This statement is false
