So I'm watching "The 10 Commandments" with family, and I've noticed they are running what appears to be first run commercials (comercials never run before). They only do this for "good programs". This is an old movie from many years ago, why would they do this?

Perhaps it rates well over Easter.

Great Movie. I saw it in a drive-in many many years ago, - well I saw most of the first 2/3rds. "His God, is God." - great line and beautifully delivered.

I like, "Moses, Moses, Moses."

No doubt, but I never saw first run commercials when for an old religious based movie like the 10 Commandments. As I recall in times past it was local lawyer, and local car dealership commercials. I was impressed that they thought they would get a high market share because; * Shows that are religious based would be anathema to commercial TV * It's guarantee to offend someone (not PC) who will write a letter to the network or commercial sponsor threatening a boycott. * Charleston Heston is the epitome of the liberal satan by his actions in his later years that he would never get a play anyway... just thought it a bit interesting.
