Anzac Day

Hail and farewell to all who fell at Gallipoli: Aussies, Kiwis, Poms. And to all those who fell in France in WW1 - and again in WW2, The Middle East, Greece, Malaya, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. You've stood by our side and we've stood by yours. We may not always agree, but still and all, when the crap hits the propeller, we know we can count on each other. Absent Friends!

If you are talking about being in combat, the single word that best describes it is "exciting."

Really? I can sort of get why, but what else do you feel?

Here's[^] a nice photo for ya And a quote Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives. You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours ... You, the mothers, who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
