Well, this did start shortly after Obama's trip to Mexico. And one of the first people he met was one of the first to die from it. Just saying...

I'd be very surprised if it weren't Dato or Henize.

With the 6.0 earthquake hitting Mexico just today, they are certainly having a rough time. But on different note, JPMorgan Chase & Co suggests stocks battered by this Swine Flu could be a long term bargain for investors.

Erm, I'm a bit embarrassed and I suppose I should say Thanks, but I don't visit the SB all that much. I'm more of a Lounge person, really. Or maybe Pakistan's a bit quiet these days, with their hands tied with internal problems. ;P

It's been downgraded to 5.6. Apparently lots of shaking, but no real damage. On the other hand, the flu death toll jumped by almost 40% overnight and the number of confirmed cases in Mexico has doubled. What worries me is that yesterday and today (culminating in Obama) everyone is going out of their way to assure us that everything is okay. Robert Gibbs this afternoon said, essentially, that the public health emergency the White House declared to day wasn't a public health emergency, it was just a precaution - which begs the question: what will we do when/if there is a real emergency? We've issued a travel alert telling folks not to travel to Mexico. The EU is issuing an alert telling folks not to travel to the US or Mexico. And the Australian government has issued a shoot-on-sight order against any sheep known to consort with New Zealanders.

With cases now confirmed in Spain and UK, how much of this information now coming from Governments and the WHO is 100% honest. And dis-information is bound to rear its ugly head sooner or later, all for the benefit of public consumption and public wellbeing. Two of my daughters middle of next month are due to holiday (together) in Spain (Ibetha), perhaps all will be OK but then, this virus's movements around this world could force a stop to such visits almost instantly. So I've told them to keep their eyes and ears open to travel news updates. A very uncertain time ahead for all...

Engineered by the global elite to dispose of a large percentage of the population and create a panic for which they can take advantage of to seize more power. Rahm Emanuel once said on TV that a crisis like this should never go to waste, boldly continuing to imply that the economic crisis was a good opportunity to do things that you normally couldn't do before. I'm sure you remember reading about the Global Warming Authority of the World telling Britain they need to reduce their population by about 20%.

Whoever engineered it needs to give the money they got for doing it back. It's mortality rate is < 7% in an area of poor sanitation and it has thus far proven to be "mild" in other areas.

You will notice, of course, that a less virulent strain of the virus has started in the blue states...

That is not an attitude that will be appreciated by the cable news people.
