I currently own a 2008 Pacifica (I love it, it is my 2nd), a 1998 Saturn coupe (again, I love it, my 2nd) and a restored 1977 MGB. Now that the government and the union will own both GM and Chrysler it is a forgone conclusion (mine) that the vehicles of the future from these two organizations will be crap mobiles. I simply will not purchase one of these, but I wish them luck.

Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

The last GM (Holden) car we had was an '07 Astra built in Korea. Worst fucking car I've ever driven. When the baby came along last year we bought a new German built VW Passat diesel wagon which is by far the best car I've ever owned. Given the choice I'll stick with German cars in future.

On the other hand the last one I owned was a Chevrolet Prizm - which was a Toyota Corolla Sprinter with a Chevy nameplate. I guess when you're buying rebranded cars, you aren't buying GM.

Yeah but it was a company car so we had little choice. Prior to that we had a Barina which was built in Belgium and that was pretty good for it's size and price.

But it was a GM car, originally designed by Opal I think. From what I understand it was designed to a price point and around the limitations of the Korean manufacturing facility.

What I really regret was selling by 1980 VC commodore wagon. That thing, affectionately known as the bogan chariot was indestructible.

My wife and I just ordered a new ford fusion. I figured a nuclear powered car for under 30,000 sounded like a good deal.

I've got a 15 year old 4Runner which is basically the same chassis as the Hilux. The truck runs like the day we picked it up.

We would have gotten the hybrid but we needed all wheel drive and the hybrid doesn't come with AWD. But we did get the fusion because it was the most fuel efficient AWd we could find in our price range.

great vehicles. my brother had one for 11 years, damned thing wouldn't stop running. he ultimately traded it in just because he was tired of looking at it.

I was very happy with mine, but I was tired of the manual transmission and the turbocharged engine was a gas-guzzler (Forester). I changed for an Impreza, regular engine.
