increased his audience. prolonged Hillary's campaign. gave Bill more time to play without the watchful eyes of Hillary.

Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

As I recall, that was one of the reasons specter changed parties. He said that many Republicans became Democrats in his state (one reason for his change) this about the time Limbaugh was futzing with the Dem. primaries.

Gave Hillary more time to play away from Bill who always wants to watch, you mean? Still and all, it didn't exactly seem to keep the Dems from a landslide victory, did it?

which time? he started as a Democrat, chaged to Republican and is once again a Democrat. he's the poster child of term limits.

wasn't intended to, it was intended to create chaos and did so quite nicely. had the added benefit of pissing off commited Democrats. all in all, a worthwhile endeavor.

Yeah, but in Specter's case he was implying that many Replublicans changed because they were disenchanted with McCain's (and the Party's) move to the right. Limbaugh's deal was an attempt to keep Obama from being nominated, feeling that Clinton would be the weaker candidate.

Ok, between you and Oak, you keep trolling Stan out and getting it wrong. Why insist on speaking for a person you disagree with?
