Meanwhile Joe (the loose cannon) Biden says that we shouldn't panic or close any border, but he's telling his family to stay the hell away from airplanes, subways and (presumably) any group of people. That's a lot more emphatic than his boss who last night said we should wash our hands often. Probably have a lot more impact on the economy, too.

On a funny note I went to the gym yesterday and this woman had towels draped over her hands and would not touch any piece of equipment with out that wet paper towel between her hand and the equipment; you know those towels you use to wipe off your hands and equipment that many gyms provide.

Yes, my first thought when this became news was, for the first time in my life, I'd actually get a quick flu jab. Then I learnt there isn't a vaccine. I don't expect a huge crisis here though.

Yes, my first thought when this became news was, for the first time in my life, I'd actually get a quick flu jab. Then I learnt there isn't a vaccine. I don't expect a huge crisis here though.

Its a media scare. More people die of all kinds of shit than pig flu. We just dont get theb hear about it. Mind you, it didnt nuke the airlines like I expected. Shame, I was hoping for a 10% hit on the rebound.

Yeah, I am in the US next week and then again in 2 months. I risk being quarantined on return ( I already have a flu ). When I get home, I work at home, so I'd be fine, except my kids go to school and my wife works with kids, too. So, we get everything that's going around here.

I worked at home back then, too, and before they came into my life, I was totally unaccustomed to sneezes and sniffles.
