http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/05/07/AR2009050702001_pf.html[^] "We can no longer afford to spend as if deficits don't matter and waste is not our problem," he said. "We can no longer afford to leave the hard choices for the next budget, the next administration -- or the next generation." As usual he is saying one thing (what we all want to hear) but he is doing another. I've noticed that about him since his inauguration. He constructs a flowery speech that is pleasant to everyone that has common sense, yet he does the complete opposite. I find it especially alarming when he goes overseas and tells the people over there how arrogant we are and how he is going to change it all.

which is like trying to bail out the Pacific Ocean with a leaking thimble.

I think you are exaggerating just a little. Even if the thimble wasn't leaking, there are approximately 3.21E23 thimbles of water in the Pacific Ocean. Assumptions: Volume of water in Pacific = 169,650,000 mi^3 Volume of water in thimble = 2.2 mL

But Obama thinks up new ways of spending money faster than the Lord God rains on the Pacific.

True, kind of makes you wonder how long it will take his apologists to wake up and rein him in...for Congress to just say no. I crack myself up. I know I should be worried, but it's like Hank Jr says, "a country boy can survive."
