It's sad to me that there are people who think that killing another human being will somehow take away their loss.

With all due respect ... go to Hell; but stop demanding that the rest of us accompany you.
Am I to assume from this that you think I'm going to hell for upholding the standards that Jesus, that damn leftie pinko, gave ? Such as loving ones enemies ?

As usual, you lie about Christ. And, as usual, you decline to understand, preferring to misrepresent. What I think is all demonstrated in the context, freely available for anyone to see who is willing to look and see.

You don't have the right to deny, suborn, and pervert justice so that you may demonstrate to yourself your obvious moral superiority.

Let's just see, shall we ? But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28). Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse (Romans 12:14). Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21). Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9). Sure, I've quoted some other new testament books, do you believe that Paul was wrong ?

Not at all. You said I was going to hell, because I said it's better not to be consumed by revenge, and the desire to kill.

Ah - justice. Just like you're so pleased that an abortion doctor was killed, because you see it as just. You're the one who brought hell into the equation, and therefore, by implication, heaven and righteousness. If you want to live by your own standards, if you want to follow an essentially Jewish/Islamic God, then that's up to you. But you tread on very thin ice when you try to speak the way you do and then claim Christ as your own. You have nothing.

just out of curiosity, would you approve a plea bargain for someone who murdered one of your children? I seriously doubt if I would, especially if the court and I were certain of their guilt.
Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

I am thankful that I wouldn't have to be asked if I wanted the person who killed my child, to be killed. I would certainly hope they got locked up, and stayed that way, but the issue really is, should society allow the victims to decide the punishment, or should we have a system of laws ?

The root problem to Mr Graus' attitude is that he knows he's more righteous than God himself is; however, *you* don't know that Mr Graus is more righteous than is God himself. Therefore, so that all men may know and marvel at the awesome righteousness of Mr Graus, he shall extend "mercy" to the vicious by furthering and adding to the injustice done their victims. That this "mercy" shall work to destroy our society is but more evidence of the over-arching awesome righteousness of Mr Graus. Who could ever doubt the righteousness of those who so value "mercy" that they will actively work to destroy an entire civilization -- and, moreover, the very civilization on which their own lives depend -- for the sake of "mercy?"

How amusing. Especially given that it's you who suffers this issue, and yet you claim Christ, but run in terror when the actual Bible is quoted at you.

This is as close as you've come to having the guts to discuss this with me. It's quite pathetic, really. You can't answer me, but you can try to insult me. I am not insulted, my reaction is a combination of amusement and pity.

The death penalty is obviously keeping the US safe. That's why you have so much more violent crime than we do.
