Like I said, I don't like it, but it IS the only solution that would actually work. Unless we just kill the poor, and start again from there. Does that work better for you ?

We're back in your fantasy land again. I would like nothing better than a world with no form of government, where people didn't have to pay taxes, where everyone looked out for other people, and people were rewarded by how much effort they put into life, where everyone had the same opportunities, and the same chance to get ahead. In this ideal world, there would be enough food and other resources for everyone, where-ever they lived, and all we'd have to do is let people live their lives. That world does not exist, and wishing it did, won't change that.

OK, so you agree with me then ? Obviously, no right minded person could support the sort of enforced abortions that happened in China, that's why I suggest being able to sell the right to a child, as a way for people to have more than one. But, it's not pretty - nothing is. Fact is, there are too many of us, and too many of us are seeking the sort of energy intensive lifestyle that the West enjoys. There is no reason I can see why they should not have that right, but there's just not enough resources to make that possible.

Welfare is necessary, but it's also often abused. Either way, it hardly addresses the question of where the resources come from.

So now you're trying to get me to agree with your conspiracy theories ? No, I think that some rule of law is needed, to stop humans from ultimately harming themselves. But, I think the minimum level of law needed, is the maximum we should aim for. The issue of over population is the one that I think will lead to greater government control than I would like, either that, or we will just reach a crisis point. I just hope that we don't over farm all our crop lands, so that there's something left for the people who survive to start again. But, it seems most likely that we'll over crop, destroy our arable land, and leave behind a desert.

Well, actually, I think that people on welfare should probably be sterilised. Given that they only produce more people who spend their lives on welfare.

They are a burden to the local community. The global community has nothing to do with it. We need to either stop them from breeding, or, simply stop paying them to breed. If they had to pay for these kids, they would stop having them.

McDonald's employs people that are at least fourteen. I don't think they expect a high school diploma from them.
