It is. You have got a lot to learn. You can study math and science all you want, but that wont make you wise.

Well, you have to at least acknowledge that overpopulation and resource depletion are major problems.

Yeah, sure. People have been banging on about the population scare for decades. And the crisis just seems to never happen. As for resources, when the earth runs out we'll go find it on another planet. And if you think thats unlikely you are thinking like the people who told Collumbus he would sail off the edge of the world.

And yet, it's inevitable.

What other planet can we grow food on ? If the problem is one of depleted resources, how do we get there ?

http://wilderdom.com/images/WorldPopulationGraph.jpg[^] I imagine it probably will happen. I've noticed a subtle trend in the population growth.

Nobody told Columbus he'd sail off the edge of the world, and the fact that the world is a ball was known well before then. You're being kinda irresponsible if you think you can just run the Earth into the ground and 'oh, everything will work out'.

You'd have thought that fat boy, not being American, would know that.....

And the cost of each ton of resource from the other planet will be?

In 1492, every educated person knew that the world was round. Had done fore centuries. (Sorry, that sounds very picky - just saying, y'know. :))
