Somehow the Republicans in Albany N.Y. have seized power in the Senate. The how is pretty clear (two Dems switched their votes) the why seems a bit murkey though CBS-NYC is doing what it can to deliever the dirt on the two turncoats[^]. This throws any legislative agenda out the window halfway through the session. Coupled with NY having one of the most ineffectual governors it has ever had, look for its financial woes to worsen and possibly rival California's - if that is possible.
