Here There Be Trolls - Come to Soap Box 1.0 for a Troll-less Environment. [modified]
-
In early June, with Chris's encouragement, a private group and forum called Soapbox 1.0 was created. With luck Soapbox 1.0 will provide a place for those regular posters from the glory days of Soapbox to return to, without having to put up with the two trolls that have made the Back Room into their personal litter box. The requirements for membership basically boil down to having been an active member of CP for at least six months and not having been a troll on the site. There will be no moderation there. No deleted messages. You can say what you want, espouse any point of view, and use any language that the built-in censors will allow. (Since I know you're wondering, if, on the chance that someone turns out to be a troll in disguise, they will receive 3 warnings and then be removed from the membership roles.) To join, go to http://www.codeproject.com/Members/Soap-Box-1-0[^]http://www.codeproject.com/Members/Soap-Box-1-0 and click "Join this group". You are all welcome there! Have fun - your kid sister isn't listening. Edit: There will be a short delay after you apply before you become members, but I'm trying to check once or twice a day to make sure there's no back log. Once you have been approved, just go to http://www.codeproject.com/Members/Soap-Box-1-0#_comments[^] to see the forum. Or you can use http://soapbox1.tk[^] as a link to the forum from anywhere.
