It would seem that you're being stalked. There hadn't been a post here for a day or so; you reply and Ilion vomits over the board less than an hour and a half later

How do you like them cameras that watch you everywhere you go?

I have nothing to hide. Why should any government be interested in me, out of the entire population of the planet? Assuming that there are people watching me at every turn is the height of arrogance. I am not remotely interesting in the grand scheme of things. I doubt any one person here is

My take; He's sitting in the hotel room, nothing good on HBO. Seen enough .net stuff for the day. Why not shove a stick into outhouse hole stir it around and see what slithers in the hole.

I guess for every acorn activist on the left you need a guy like that to bring balance to the ying and yang.

I don't know, they have cameras everywhere so there must be some reason. It ain't just you, its all your peers and neighbors, its everyone. You are all criminals. It is a matter of principle. Everyone has something to hide. They do watch you though they wont single you out unless you have a funny look on your face or a shirt that says what you believe in. Once they upgrade their systems to support facial recognition and tie into the national databases they will be able to pull up a map and trace your rout in any particular date and time they choose. I prefer not to be under surveillance, but I am just a weirdo. Quite frankly I think it is a real life nightmare.

So a government for no known reason, is monitoring the populace. If that were true, there would be proof - and real proof, not just grainy YouTube videos and blogs written by the paranoid. Speaking of which, if that's true, why are the blogs still there? Shouldn't they be gone by now, or filtered intensely?

Unlikely. In the UK, criminals have their fingerprints, photos' et al on record. I don't, and last time the government tried there was a large furore in the media and the government backed down

Not true. There are areas with no CCTV. As such the route (not rout, that's got a different meaning) would be shaky and wouldn't stand up in a court of law

Most people do. However the world is not all a bed of roses; there are people who would happily butcher you in your sleep based on your skin colour. I would rather people be watched and relatively safe, than free to do what they please to whom they please

Funny, the disenfranchised and socially outcast people on this forum, keep assuming I am some sort of slave. I travel the world, I work from home, set my own hours, make good money, and basically live the life I want to. I flew in to MN on the weekend, to be front row for a concert. I don't feel like a slave at all. I am, of course, by choice 'enslaved' by the standards of society. I work, I treat others fairly. I guess those with less decency, or less to offer society, would be more worried about their supposed 'freedom', because they are already under pressure, because of their lack of value to society.

So you think. You are a textbook example of a modern idiot who will allow their government to completely take over everyone's life until they are nothing but mindless slaves. X|

OK, so, this is saying that people who try to earn carbon credits, can be investigated if it seems their claim is bogus. I think the whole carbon trade thing is dumb, but it makes sense that if money is used as an incentive, people will try to rip it off, and the police will enforce it. Why would I care ?

For active devices, a 100 meter distance around a maximum transmission range. To track a person just using RFID within the confines of a fairly small town will require hundreds if not thousands of readers. Although the price of all types of RFID equiment is coming down, it would still be hugely expensive. Your concerns I feel are unjustified not just on costs by also in terms of a clear violation of the Human Rights legislation in terms of compulsion for an entire population of a country to be injected with such devices, it would also constitute actual assault by the state and that is also illegal. http://www.rfip.eu/aboutrfid.htm[^]

Well, they 4.2 million CCTV cameras all around in Britain. I'm sure the cost of the RFID systems will be pretty insignificant.

They are actually pushing through legislation here that will ban forced RFID, but people can still get them if they want, special deals like %20 off all purchases with your chip or something along those lines. It will be pushed through workarounds if the law does not allow them, or they will just change the law. Here the Constitution is supposed to be the supreme law of the land, but it is constantly infringed upon (warrentless "wiretapping" or illegal searches for instance).

As has been said previously, they're impractical. They wouldn't work; the infrastructure wouldn't support them. But even if it did, if they were put into prison residents who are supposed to be serving indefinite terms I could see the reasons for such a decision. I don't personally agree with it (I believe that it puts governments on a slippery slope towards a dictatorship), but I could see the good reasons behind it Are you just going to throw accusation after accusation at me, or actually try to discuss my opinions rationally? As it is, you're just creating a massive paranoia database. So far the only entries are

                                          1. Cameras
                                          2. Other observational devices
                                          3. RFIDs
                                          4. New World Order

Surely you can do better than that
