Oh and how is that? Especially with biometrics and modern high-resolution cameras and processing power.

Do you have any idea how many people you're claiming are being watched, all the time ? FWIW, I was told this was already happening, in the mid 1980s. Conspiracy nuts have been around for a long time. It wasn't true then, and it's not true now.

    No, just morons.

How can a disease reappear if it was eradicated?

A lot of diseases that kill humans, live in animals without harming them. They didn't appear from thin air.

We should call the government out when it lies to us, sure. But, act surprised ?

Ever think about the value you are getting for your money?

Well, that's just endemic in the system. Am I happy about it ? Of course not. But, what can I do ?

As a simple example, why pay 1000 bucks for a paperclip?

No-one has ever paid that much for a paper clip.

Freedom of speech is a privilege?

Yes. It's a privilege you earn, by using it well. It should not be curtailed for people who criticise the government, but if, for example, I use it to incite hatred and encourage people to bash gays, or Jews, or kill policemen, then my freedom of speech runs against the freedom other people have to live without being attacked.

Tens of millions? The entire population of first world countries when it comes to computer screening of emails and phone calls. I know I know, its impossible because computer power doesn't evolve exponentially.

Stop being a lamb. Speak up, organize, and develop unstoppable momentum and mass. You can't though because you will loose your speech privileges; so just shut up and pay up.

I never said anyone did, I'm just asking why anyone would when in principle that is what they are doing with their tax dollars, except instead of a paperclip, it is basic infrastructure services.

Also - every time you read this thread, you can see the thread I started about your retarded views on homosexuality. I note you're scared to even try to defend those beliefs. I am not surprised.

And yet, they achieved nothing. The bailout happened, and they either still pay tax, or are in jail. That's my point. You can't stop taxes. I agree that the bailout was a crime, and probably will cripple the US economy as China becomes the new world power. But, the US pretty much earned that fate IMO.

You sold out all your industry to China so you can have really cheap goods, regardless of the cost in terms of child labour, etc. You fed the Chinese economy and now it's all grown and come back to bite your ass.

No, the multinational corporations sold us out to the Chinese so they can make massive profits. They don't pass that down to us, we get inferior products at the same price as before (or higher) and we get sold out at the same time. When people protested the globalization of the economy, they were ridiculed and shamed while our leaders sold us out.

Because people protested, but not with their wallets. And I get why. If I was to buy all imported food, my grocery bill would be a lot less than it is, but I choose to support Tasmanian where I can and Australian otherwise. I mean, I pay double for things like olive oil, and I pay 30% more for milk, to support the local vendors. Most people don't have the money, or the intestinal fortitude to vote with their wallets, if they did, the market would respond accordingly.
