old win xp folder cannot delete

thanks in advanced i have one windows folder moved by the windows during installation of another window , now i want to delete this folder bcz is consuming 4 gb space almost i want to delete these files but it dont let me delete says 'Access in denied make sure that disk is not full or right protected , or file in use'

Step 0: Make absolutly, completly certain you are about to delete the right folder. Step 1: Follow the instructions here to take ownership of the files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421[^] Step 2: Assuming Step 1 is successful, delete the files, again making absolutely certain you have the right ones.

You must have the right for deletion the files and folders. Or Some file which is used by any application at this time the folder u can't delete.
