    A Jack Russell is (as well as being a damned fine wicket keeper some 10 years ago) a breed of dog, specifically a terrier, I think largely indiginous to the UK. It's a little yappy thing that likes to chase people's ankles and doesn't know what to do with it when it actually catches one. All heart, no scary. Kind of like a ferret without fur.
