what is diff between in these two way of adding item in cache

hello friends i want to know what is diff between in these two way of adding item in cache. cache["key"]= value; and cache.add("key",value,...); thanks in advance

Hi findtango, If you access the cache via the indexer, i.e., 1. Cache["Key"] = value; a. the value remains in the cache indefinitely. Instead while you are using 2. cache.add(): a. It will accept some more parameters for expiration and all b. Also, calling the Add method returns an object that represents the cached item. If the key already exists in the Cache the method will fail.
