For a split-second I was thinking this may have got to do with sector size, but if it was the difference would be of a multiple of the sector size. My questions are: a. what causes this? b. what tolerance should i use to say that files are still the same. Many thanks. sample: <File Name="MyFileSample.xml" Source.Author="System Account" Destination.Author="System Account" Source.Length="169087" Destination.Length="169092" Source.MajorVersion="14" Destination.MajorVersion="1" Source.MinorVersion="0" Destination.MinorVersion="0" Source.ModifiedBy="System Account" Destination.ModifiedBy="System Account" Source.ProgID="Word.Document" Destination.ProgID="Word.Document" Source.TimeCreated="28/07/2009 10:32:38 PM" Destination.TimeCreated="28/07/2009 10:32:38 PM" Source.TimeLastModified="30/07/2009 1:30:22 AM" Destination.TimeLastModified="30/07/2009 1:30:22 AM" />
