The Indian government has established its own body to monitor the effects of global warming because it “cannot rely” on the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the group headed by its own Nobel prize-winning scientist Dr R.K Pachauri. [^] Not surprised. Pachuri accused the Indian state of practicing "voodoo science" when it first suggested the glacier melt date was inaccurate. Now Pachuri has been found to be wrong, and he hasnt appologised for the IPCC making this error, or for his remarks, the Indian government is giving him the big fuck off. Many in the UNs IPCC want him out, hardcore GW advocating scientists among them. Obviously they dont want to be dragged down by Pachuris (especially since he is now writing soft porn novels) actions and want to use him as an escape goat. Personally I would like to see him fight to keep his position. In doing so it is likely to expose any further corruption and lies that have taken place over the years. What I dont weant is for the head scientists at the IPCC to remain unstained by the revelations of inaccuracies and lies in the AR4 report. There are now so many that the entire fabric of the IPCC must be called into question and examined. Sacrificing its head is not enough, the entire body must be rid of political bias that has given ris eto such distortions of truth.

Yeah, sorry, I use parts of English so infrequently that it is starting to fall apart. 'scape goat' Mind you, I bet if I look at the etymology of 'scape' it mentions 'escape'... 30 seconds later... http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=scape[^] As a noun it suggests it comes from 'landscape'???

Check out their reference for scapegoat. It actually has religious roots.
