No, he is re-hashing a guide to the A* Pathfinding algorithm[^] as part of the Game Development Framework he began when he previously left this 'snake pit'[^].

Well, if he's really gone, we just need to get rid of Ilion and then, ironically, this could be a better place for sane discussion that Oakman's little cavern of groupthink.

His last post was this[^], and he's not posted since. I guess he's decided to stop posting for a while. Perhaps that means he actually realises the degree to which we disproved pretty much everything he posted. Maybe he even realises how stupid he's made himself look ? Shame on you! What about the yards of Itchy and Scratchy posts, perpetually parsing the pronouncements of post-Colonial politicians? Groupthink, indeed!

No. He doesn't care. If he did, he would engage brain before committing fingers to keyboard. Perhaps Maunder should incorporate a googlemail style challenge (Mail Goggles ??) before permitting a post to leave his (and everybody's) computer.

You seem excessively paranoid about Oakman. I think you just completely overreact.

Didn't he "disappear" before and "come back"? But then what is to be expected from someone whose opinions come from conspiracy web sites.

Yes, it, like 'straw man', is a term he copied after he heard other people using it.

It was created after 9/11, to allow the lounge to be censored without deleting posts. CSS took it over. Oakman had a hissy fit and got his little forum. Chris hid this forum and created soapbox 2.0 because of how bad it was. But, it was an evolution, not a plan. CSS does post in the lounge, tho, although he posts sane, semi programming stuff there.

It, like this forum, has evolved to reflect the character of the people who post there most.
