http://rawstory.com/2010/03/germans-microchip-skin-poll/[^] Just imagine the possibilities. Everybody will live in compact high-tech prison like cities where everybody and everything is tracked, inventoried, databased, and controlled. It would be like the borg from Srar Trek. They would all be puny slaves to be punished, the controllers of such a society would just clinch their teeth and grind those puny pathetic slaves under their boots with great satisfaction.

Only one in four? My, they have come a long way in 75 years. This is merely a publicity puff for the CeBIT trade fair in Hanover. Hence the catchy headline, turning would be prepared to have a chip inserted under their skin "for certain benefits." in the body of the article to want in the headline? Did you bother to determine the nature of the poll, the range of questions asked, how the respondents were sampled, whether the sample was statistically significant?

It's plain that any poll is engineered to get the result that is wanted, by the nuance of the question, and the options offered. It's more interesting that CSS posts this drivel but won't respond when anyone tries to discuss it with him. He is plainly trying to achieve a feeling of adequacy, and failing miserably.

I find it amazing that each and every time I think to myself that he's finally reached the pinnacle of inadequacy, he tirns around and throws another stunner. Monuments should be risen in recognition of his unfathomable ineptitude. //L

CSS needs his brain replaced with a chip, a simple one would do, one that says "What?","I don't understand" and "Where's the tea?"

------------------------------------ I will never again mention that I was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel. Dalek Dave

That, or identity theft would become a bastard, mugging obsolete(mostly), and I wouldn't be sitting here hungry because I left my wallet in yesterday's pants. And really, even assuming they know where you are at all times, how does this stop you from doing anything? How does that give them any control over you? And how in the blazes of hell does it make anyone a slave any more so than anything else going on?

So what ? All of this is a bizarre scenario invented by your preacher because he can't read Daniel with any clarity. It is an ongoing fantasy that has no bearing to real life.

Yay? Perhaps fewer people will look at me like I'm going to mug them if they do not have anything of significant value on them? It isn't terribly pleasant. Given that nothing has intrinsic value to it there is remarkably little difference between cash, gold or straight number flinging. Currency and value are human created concepts, if the system that they rely on breaks down there will be no real difference between them.
