There is a difference between charity and theft. On the healthcare by the way, forcing everyone to buy healthinsurence from the big corporations (premiums will increase, not decrease) and then cutting everyone's care is so liberal.

There's a difference between being a contributing member of society and a damn leech, and the barrier isn't based on how much money you make. And for the note, I still back the public option, the bit that annoys me the most is that there isn't one. But hey, that's socialism right?

Well now they will be forced to buy heathinsurenece from the big mega corporations and their level of care will be cut down. So liberal, liberals are the most racist, most fascistic, most auhtoritarian, most hateful people in the world.

wait, didn't the liberals want free health care for the citizens and compromised with the conservatives who were screaming "communists" and made the health insurance thing? Liberals tend to be the guys that are all PC. Obviously racist and hateful. Liberals want to let gay people marry. Obviously authoritarian, letting people do what they want... Liberals want to rein in corporations. Facists have corps ruling government... Good News everyone! Black is white, up is down, and anyone that argues with CSS is arguing with god.

The difference between a worker who is having half his paycheck taken to be given to a welfare case, and a welfare case getting a income taken from a worker. My little half-brother is on welfare, he gets 700 a month, plus 200 foodstamps, plus medicaid all because his father told him to pretend to act retarded when he is around the doctor and case worker. All he does is sit around smokes weed and play video games, he is 19, and fully capable of holding a job except for the fact that he now thinks that other people are supposed to work for him. He is rotted to the core. He is NOT retarded, but he is criminal minded because he has been taught to be a liar and a thief.

It is ironic isn't it? They claim to be all lovey fuzzy until they get in power, then they become greedy authoritarian pricks with a chip on their shoulder.

And as someone who actually loses about 1/3rd of his pay in taxes, who is talking to the person who may well not earn enough to pay any, I'd like to ask you to get a sense of perspective.

A note from personal experience, give it a bit longer, eventually the weed will do it's job and he will be. There are always liars and thieves, they're at every damn level. I'm not going to say don't help anyone because someone might exploit it, I'll just drop the idiots on their ass when they ask me for help personally, and help those who have shown they're actually willing to use help to better themselves. If someone is happy with what that little gets them in life, it actually bothers me a bit. It bothers me more that your father taught him to do it. But neither of those things are the fault of welfare, it very much sits with the two of them. The point of welfare is to keep people from loosing everything and stand themselves back up, but as with everything, there's always someone who misses the point.

Welfare goes against the very grain of human nature. It is legalized theft. It rots people's core. It's purpose is to degenerate society and make people dependent on government. My father is not his father by the way. Again, there is a big difference between charity and theft.

Ah, apologies then. Have half sisters myself, who are somewhat on the complete other end of the scale. So I can understand the concern to an extent, but I don't blame it on the fact they're growing up with enough money to easily leave them valuing nothing but possessions. In fact I credit my father with not letting it go to their heads, despite how easily it could. But let's face this, it isn't the welfare that corrupted them, they have taken advantage of what is offered to people who have legitimate problems. You have to be pretty damn rotten to start with to pretend you have issues just to get a handout.

Again, there is a big difference between charity and theft. Government forcibly confiscating wealth and giving it to others (corporate or individual) is theft. People voluntarily donating to individuals or groups is charity.
