Spammers on the loose in Quick answers.

I really wish I had delete rights :( I'm reduced to editing them and placing a ' [EDIT: Spam content and links removed]' text in the message but that keeps the answer as a answer.

I'm also confused as to why I am able to Delete some of these answers, but only Edit others, even within the same QA.

Do the answer you can't delete have edit's on them already? (that might explain it) I'd like to know what is needed to be able to delete answers (as in reputation needed) since I'm reduced to editing them with a '[EDIT]spam links removed ' text in it. Maybe I'd have to be platinum authority (and that's gonna take a while to get there ;P )

Maybe minor edit's (although I fail to see why anyone would do a minor edit on one of these spam messages) Maybe bug, you'll have talk to Chris about that :)

Hi Richard. Please see How does editing content work[^] and How does deleting work[^]. We've simplified the rules considerably around editing and deleting questions and answers.

Hi Thiru, yes I was aware of the rules. My query was that when I looked at these QA messages I was able to delete some of the spam entries, but for others (all in the same QA) I was only able to edit the content, even though I was (apparently) the first editor.

I just removed 4-5 answers from couple of questions [^] Spammer posted that in last hour or so... though i found the account no longer active. I thought all was handled 3-4 hours back... is nailing them down still in progress? Answer counts are high on page1... looks fishy... that lead me to this!
