My error reporting feature was broken by the last Windows Update... along with most everything else. Maybe they got tired of me gleefully sending every failure to them - bagged their servers, perhaps?:-) "Another day done; all targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly." - Jennie Agard, McGuckin Hardware Systems Manager

Yes Nutscraper 4.x was the dogs bollocks through a blender and then out Bill Sergios mouth. But Netscape 6.x and up is damned good. It has to be, based on the excellent Gecko (think Mozilla) engine.

Yes, they've had more than their fair share of security issues... but when it comes to rendering a web page and displaying crystal clear fonts the Windows/IE combo has no serious competition.

To a certain extent I agree with you (I still only use Netscape to test my web sites and see no reason to change) but you have to ask yourself how many web sites are created *for* Internet Explorer? I'm not saying that is bad, but it must really piss off a lot of anti-Microsoft guys who refuse to even look at anything with the evil "M" word stamped on it.

Yes, it sucks now. But the point is still they had that feature a long time ago. I actually use Internet Explorer more than any other app if you add all my "app-hours" together, but you are right: I don't let children use it. In fact, I get nervous letting *anyone* else use my machine. What gets me confused is how I seem to abuse my machine 100 times more than many other people, and these people have nothing but constant problems with *everything* they have installed. I guess my machine and I just have a special relationship - one of mutual detest where we both just get on and do what we are meant to do without wasting each others time. :-D
