Anybody got any good skins for Trillian? The app is very good, but does anyone know how (or if it even can) ditch skins and just use the current Windows XP skin? I use Watercolor for Windows XP and the Trillian skins are a bit out of sorts on my desktop. Hopefully the next version of Trillian will have a "switch of SkinXML support" so that it just uses the WXP skin.

There is this[^] version of WaterColor[^], but it'll clash if you use any of the other color schemes in the XP style. It looks like their current take on letting Windows do the drawing is "no" (referring to their saying to add Trillian to the WindowBlinds exclude list).

Johnson wrote: It looks like their current take on letting Windows do the drawing is "no" Bit daft that. I like the idea of the OS handling the skinning rather than having it on an app by app basis. Consistency is good when all you want to do is get a job done :)

Are you having any luck getting contacts (non-techie) to switch to it, or using both Trillian and MSN now :~ Personally I have enough trouble trying to keep various people's MSN working. They are always forgetting their passwords, destroying their pc's, whatever. I don't think I could cope with training them all on a new system now ;P

I've always heard that there was an idea behind Win ME... I still can't figure out what that was... anyboy know??? I;ve herad the idea was that it was supposed to be n operating system but I doubt this. - Brian Delahunty

Trillian has a few minor quirks, but once you set up a user it's fairly hassle free. The best bit is that they no longer have to remember their own identities - Trillian remembers for them, and automatically connects them to any IM service account you have set up for them. If (when) they get disconnected, a simple click on connection/global reconnect restarts all of their connections. Maybe I'm stupid and/or ignorant for asking this, but wth is Trillian? :) -- Master, I'm so glad to feel your presence. But you don't seem to share my impatience. I relied upon you to break the silence. I cannot understand your reluctance. Master, I feel so warm and I'm so happy, oh master. Give me some more of the warm little beasts I'm so fond of.

A very nice program that replaces MSN messanger, AIM, ICQ, and Yahoo! Messanger. It's at http://www.trillian.cc/trillian/index.html[^] It is good. You want it.

Very nice app indeed! Now I can combine ICQ and IRC (two media I commonly use). Thanks for the info/link! -- Master, I'm so glad to feel your presence.
