Yes, because Daddy can always come along and make things better. I think I'm going to enjoy November.

Rand Paul is no Bush, he is a Paul.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

This changes my comment how? Rand Paul gets on a show and skirts around an answer and when he finally answers is shown to not really understand that people are a-sholes and acting as if a free market will somehow correct this is just plain stupid. Rand Paul then has daddy come and attempt to bail him out. (You will of course pick 1 sentence that is in here that is not the main point and argue that. I would even bet it is this or the previous sentence.)
If I have accidentally said something witty, smart, or correct, it is purely by mistake and I apologize for it.

They didn't vote him in... They selected him as a nominee. He's now the GOP candidate for the position. Still has to beat the DNC candidate to actually get the job.

Author of the Guardians Saga (Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels)Considering how he's managing to swallow his own foot, I'd not bother spending much on this campaign as the Dems. His campaign is probably the best way for them to advertise. "Vote for me, I'm not that loon."

That's ok... When Paul Jr. loses by an even larger margin than he won the GOP nomination, CSS will be whining and complaining about how it's all a big conspiracy to stop the Teabaggers from getting any power. He will of course assume that "everyone" wants the libs in congress, and to say otherwise is criminal.

The Tea Party want to vote in people that truly represent their libertarian model. Ron Paul is certainly #1, Rand Paul well, they voted him in. It was a landslide victory.

Since only 7% of registered voters in Kentucky voted for him, I would not call it a landslide. In the democratic primary, two separate candidates received more votes than Paul did. I'd say he's got a long way to go to win the seat.

And you claim to advocate personal responsibility, but you condone someone running to daddy to have them vaguely excuse their behavior? I'd have less of a problem with him if he'd just man up and say it, 'I support people who wish to discriminate'. It's consistent with his ideals, it's what he's implying, but it's also political suicide via spork without a second. Instead he shows all the signs of another political jackass by dancing around what he means.

Anyone else take posts like this as a wonderful explanation of the tea party's understanding of the political process in this country? They won a few primaries, and apparently that means they've been voted into office in their minds. By a Randslide even. But still, by all means, keep hammering away at those moderates, drive all of the impure from your party, I'd love to see if the democrats would have the balls to actually do something if they had a solid voting majority.

Well it is... You weren't supposed to tell anyone, btw. The plan was to raise their hopes and dash them on the rocks at the last second. It was going to be a masterful killing blow to them now that their friend the Gormogon is dead.
