Anyone use sign languages here? (ASL BSL DSL or what-have-you) What influence do languages used for communication with persons have on ones coding tendencies?

I'm pretty sure the languages you use to communicate have a fair amount of influence on the way you think about things. Although, I have no idea how to qualify or quantify that. I just seems natural that this is the case, because when I think, I think in English at least 95% of the time. That being the case, English, its vocabulary and structure has a definite hold of my logic, however slightly. It only makes sense then that it effects my coding.:suss: BW "I'm coming with you! Being monolingual, I can't handle the concept of thinking or dreaming in anything but English. Paul I think there're pieces of me you've never seen - Tori Amos, Tear in Your Hand

I guess I was trying to quantify the time spent thinking where its purely emotional, and not put into words even briefly. I do speak German, but the time spent thinking in German is pretty insignificant for me. If I am reading an English novel or article, or watching an English movie, I usually think in English. Otherwise, it's Hindi.
