The point is that you denied that federal officials, law makers, high powered CEOs and executives from the largest banks, media empires, food production, education, and so on get together in secretive meetings every year.

Who cares if it exists, and what does its existence have to do with the conspiracy theory? That's like saying "Look at this map! Here's PROOF that Roswell, New Mexico exists! That must mean aliens landed there!" It's ok, though... We all know how you think. If a public figure does something completely unthinkable, like step into a room without a camera pointed at him, then you think it's a conspiracy.

Well I guess because they aren't "negotiating" with foreign governments, they're talking with those people as people. For example, the Dutch prime minister (the last 3 have all participated in Bilderberg Group meetings) is not the Dutch government, he's the head of the Council of Ministers.

If they aren't up to no good, why are they so secretive even after years of protests against them?
Because there are plenty of people who'd love to stuff a bomb in a room full of people who make that much money every year? Because they'd rather make the money themselves than declaring publicly what they intend on doing? Because it's a bunch of business assholes who probably spend the entire time squabbling over completely pointless shit? My point was mostly that the article had absolutely nothing to say about his point.

I've seen people have fun while golfing, they had one of the golf bags replaced with a keg on the back of the golf cart, but they were certainly enjoying themselves.

It may all be pointless sh*t, but then why don't they just prove it. That wouldn't actually hurt, would it. And the secrecy does hurt, PR wise at least. I guess my point is, their secrecy would only help them if the truth is worse than the lie. And they are not dumb people, so they know this.

Would answering the questions prove it? If they went on record saying "No, we're not talking about world domination," would people actually believe them? I mean, if the conspiracy theory WAS true (Hypothetically), they would lie about it anyway. So answering the questions does not suffice... What would constitute proof? Bringing a camera in there? I don't doubt that at least some of them harbor delusions of grander schemes, but I figure enough of them don't have them, or have conflicting ones that they don't get much of anywhere. Now, if a leader was to pop up I may be concerned, but these aren't the kind of people who follow all to much.
