I have a laptop which I forgot its administrator password. I am trying to login as guest but when I start windows I don't see the guest account login option? it's just showing the administrator name. How can I show the guest? and can I install programs in guest account?

The guest account won't do you any good. First, it's disabled by default - it has to be enabled by a user admin capable account. Second, it can't reset the admin account password, and lastly, it can't install software.

Well, if you don't have any other accounts with admin rights available, you are down to two options. You may be able to use a cracking tool to reset the password, some of which are listed (some are listed here[^]). Or, if that fails, a complete reinstall of Windows 7.

Try using ophcrack to crack the account on your windows. Search it and download. Then boot your machine on it.

And you're telling me this why?? Reploy to the OP. Oh, if you followed the link that I posted, OphtCrack is listed as one of the potential tools, but depending on the password complexity, could take FOREVER to come up with the password. OphtCrack would not be my first tool of choice for this.

You have a few options.. 1) boot into safe mode and see if the hidden administrator account has a password set or not (alot of people forget to set it). once you get in you can create yourself a new user. 2) An ERD disk would work if you have one. 3) If you have an install disk you can also do a repair install which will ask you for a new admin password but won’t delete the other programs on the machine. 4) downloadable crack programs like those listed here[^]
