I want to know the reason and that is why I asked. If you just posted this for sake of argument battle, I am not interested and can put up quite a few theories where opposition will have no comeback. If it is something else, you might want to share it with CP.

It's not contrary - there is no difference in outcome between giving up and not giving up.
Giving up on life amounts to suicide. By getting out of bed, eating, posting here, you're implicitly stating that you believe that living and doing things is more desirable than not doing so.

That would make sense, except that I'm being forced to do all those things - except posting here, I just did that because I have nothing better to do.
