Are you sure of this attribution? From which of his writings does it come? You haven't just picked it from one of those 'quotes' sites, have you? Some of those attribute the adage to Erasmus Darwin. In Erasmus's Adagia (a collection of classical adages of which he approved) he has: The most disadvantageous peace is better than the most just war. Now that would permit the oppression of one party by the other, which contradicts your alleged quote.

I'm making a note here: "HUGE SUCCESS!" Yesterday I was home sick and got back to 3 or 4 messages complimenting me on the comment. Only 2 of them actually got the reference.

Haha, well done... One of my friends actually got "Still Alive" on Rock Band (Whichever version)... She threw a party, and we kept doing that one over and over to annoy someone... Then I noticed the microphone sitting off to the side, and found out that there's a karaoke part (My first time seeing that game)... Muahahaha! I even did a pretty good impression of GlaDoS's voice.

Remember when I pretended to try and incinerate you and you escaped? Those were good times. Ha-ha-ha. For such a short and simple game that was far too cool.

Probably a lot heavier... Unless I REALLY want a game, I only buy it on Steam when it's on sale. You wouldn't believe the sales they have on there... As long as you're not buying the latest titles, you can get some great games for 50% or even 75% off... I bought the entire Overlord collection last weekend (2 games + 1 expansion pack) for, I think, $7 or $8, and that's only a few years old.

Yep yep... I'd never heard of it before, but I'm really enjoying the first one :) I love the dialog... Little imps that speak in baby-talk while raping, pillaging, and slaughtering... It's just a beautiful contrast... When they kill something, steal its life force, and bring it over to you, saying "For yoooooou!" or "For da overlord!" And the silly little one-liners... You kill this corrupted paladin, and while I forget his name (Let's say it was "Eric"), your guide says "Well done! Sir Eric the Black is now Sir Eric the Dead!" Hilarious game :)

I played the first level or 2 on the xbox of that version. I would have played more but my wife wanted to leave the store... My son was digging it. He's gonna grow up to be a sociopath, just like his old man!

"Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one. " "640K ought to be enough for anybody. " Bill Gates I know it's not related, but I had to say something and nothing clever came up

Heh, well, I highly recommend it. It gets more tactical later on. At the beginning, it's pretty much "See bad guy, send all of your minions, wait for it to die." Later on, you have four different types of minions, twelve different spells (Four types, three levels each, where each level actually works differently), and bad guys with tricks. As for your son... Well, depends on how old/mature he is. I mean, it's basically cartoon-style violence, not the least bit realistic... The whole thing is kind of an exaggerated parody of Lord of the Rings: Ten years later, told from the perspective of Sauron. If you want to try it, now's the time... I think it's still on sale, so like $2 for just the first game, or around $7-8 for that plus the expansion pack and the sequel.

Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in?
