Interesting graph, its an old well known one, regarding CO2 and temperature over the life of the planet.

Scroll down a bit. http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/07/15/polar-bears-survived-the-ice-free-arctic/[^] Looking at the temperature line, it would seem there is some kind of an inbuilt ceiling at around 22`C. Currently we are still in an ice age, as can be seen. Between ice ages 22 seems to be the norm. SO it seems runaway temperatures are almost impossible (especially due to CO2 since it has been way higher then today as stated while temperatures stoped at around 22C), so this is one GW horror story that can be put to sleep. Current tmeperature is around 14`C I believe, so 8 degrees from our normal non ice age temperature. I wonder how this would be distributed? The poles wouldnt be ice bound anymore, so they would be at least around 0 degrees on average. As for the tropics? Given the equator (wet) is actually colder than the areas ot the north and south (dry) it would seem that humidity limits temperature. So it is quite possible that the entire world would have a climate like that of Jamaica. Doesnt sound too bad for me, even if we lost some coast line.
