A party in the Dutch parliament [edit: well, their EU delegation, does such a detail really matter? they're the same political party..] has now demanded clarification of the threats the US is making to WikiLeaks, and asked the EU to protect Freedom of Expression. They also said that while countries have the right to defend state-secrets, "It is unclear whether these are state secrets and who leaked them". (they're also pushing for more transparency) When they say "it is unclear", what they really mean is "you are wrong, sucker" :)

I had not come across it before. Not knowing of Chandler, I assumed it was an Aussie expression. I can find no convincing derivation on Google, so let's credit Chandler.
