Hot off the press - in fact so hot it makes GW look positively cool - from a reputable media source (which must remain anonymous for copyright reasons.) :) US Government admits all temperature readings “degraded.” All temperature data taken offline in shock move. Global temperatures may be 10 to 15 degrees too high or too low. The fault was first detected after a tip off from an anonymous member of the public to some blog or other run by a climate septic. It centers on readings taken at the Pasadena Home for the Unbalanced and Demented. The home has been a source of temperature readings since the beginning of last century when a former inmate endowed a School For Whether Or Not Research. Earlier this year it was discovered that a thermometer had been broken. As a result temperature readings are highly suspect. Since this is one of the designated stations that contribute to global figures all such figures are now suspect. It is not clear whether the readings are too low (because the bulb broke and all the mercury ran out) or too high (because the thermometer was upside down). Caught in the center of the controversy is the beleaguered taxpayer funded National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). A spokesman for NOAA has now confirmed that the story on the blog is true. However, he declined to state how long the fault might have gone undetected. Nor would the shaken spokesman engage in speculation as to the damage done to the credibility of a century’s worth of temperature readings taken from the problematic weather station. NOAA has reported a succession of record warm temperatures in recent years based on such readings but these may now all be undermined or understated. World-renowned climatologists, some former workers at the PHUD school, after casting expert eyes over the shocking findings concluded, “At best the entire incident indicates gross incompetence, at worst it indicates a deliberate attempt to create a temperature record that suits the political message of the day or maybe yesterday.” "Is it too hot, or too cold, or just right?" asked angry citizen Miss Goldilocks. She then went on to say "I think we should be told so we know if we are hot or cold." This publication is certain that The Government bears a huge responsibility. It needs to tell us if it really is much hotter or much colder than we think it is. It should also put in train a scheme to train all responsible adults in Arctic and desert survival techniques to cope with either situation. How would you f

Aw, come on now. You might at least have included some links to YouTube. There must be one that shows Lake Superior in all it's boiling frenzy. :)
