Pah! You with your US centric idea of culture! :) I really dont get how you are so into the US. I have been there a few times, mostly business. The only special thing for me was visiting Chicago and going to a blues bar, Buddy Guys in fact. The food was crap, the beer the usual, and so on, but the ambience was great. Yeah, I like urban, I lilke modern, but I find the US is just nasty urban, nasty modern. If I want nice modern and urban you cant beat northen Europe.

Sure it requires a phenomenal amount of strength and dexterity, but you're still just looking at a scantily clad muscle-man crawling all over a giant phallus.

You can't judge the whole US by having visited a couple of times: it is a huge country and I've mostly only done the 2 coasts and some of the inner states but I've only disliked LA and, to a much lesser extent, New York (but only because I've been there so many times I'm sort of bored with it whereas LA is a dump). There is an amazing mix throughout America: from Naples (Florida) to Seattle and all points in between. Each has its won merits (and, of course, demerits) but, when all is said and done, it is, for me, the best place, bar none, in the world to live or visit (though I'll be happier when Obama is no longer in charge).

True. You can find a lot of videos having kids doing that. It is incredible that those guys can do it effortlessly. I cannot imagine supporting my weight on one twisted limb across a pole.

There is a huge amount of diversities here in India. Me, as Indian will not be knowing everything about our culture. If one travels a lot (someone like me :) ) will definitely be amazed by the variations that will come up. If you like martial arts, I would say have a look at this[^] too.
