Hello everybody, Till now i have worked on single computer applications in VS2005. But now i want to build an application which works over LAN. Can anyone tell me what cautions should be taken for building LAN application??? Is two software is to be built seperate for both server and client or just one application is needed to build? Is database should be designed differently?? Is coding pattern should be changed?? What is to be done to prevent clashing of data of two users?? Is client-server technology is to be used or any other method is to be used? Pls guide me to build a LAN application. If any good e-book is there, pls provide me link of it. Pls its very urgent........... Thanx in advance......

Without knowing any more about what problem you are trying to solve it is impossible to suggest much more than this[^]. You need to learn about the general architecture of client server applications and whether that solution would fit with your problem.

I don't think this is the sort of thing you can do over a weekend, unless you have excellent programming skills.

Just say 'NO' to evaluated arguments for diadic functions! Ash
