The problem appears to be that the electorate has long accepted Antisocial Personality Disorder as a desirable trait in their politicians.

I developed this mindset after many years in the government training centers. They and the media instilled in me a fear of those who would dare to speak out against authority because those who spoke out were the bad guys.

I suggest a colour coding system for the various degrees of paranoia in the the lounge/back room: Puce --> Lilac--> Lavendar --> Palatinate --> Purple --> Indigo. Code puce being the least paranoid and code indigo being this[^].
Sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Dilbert.[^]
