                              Here in Queensland, you can use deadly force basically when it's required to defend yourself against someone who is intent and capable of inflicting deadly force upon yourself. eg: A 16 year old 120kg islander boy with a machete is technically a minor, but you could reasonably believe that if he was intending to inflict deadly force he would likely be capable... Contrast this to a 40kg 16 year old unarmed boy.

                                    Quite possibly. The Code Project is a forum for software developers, a profession to which the Captain aspires, but, evidently, lacks the aptitude to attain. Back Room discussions are about anything other than software development. The Back Room reflects an image of himself as being among his peers, there is no challenge to his professed expertise. Gratifying to the old ego, no doubt, but his choice of monicker reveals an awareness, at some level, of his inherent ineptitude.

                                        I'm not aware of any statues that make a distinction between defending yourself/others/your property against an adult attacker and a minor based specifically on age. Depending on the situation/locale 'reasonable fear for your life/grievous bodily harm' could come into play but that would be due to the attackers size, not his/her age directly.

                                        3x12=36 2x12=24 1x12=12 0x12=18
