The reputation points are being re-calculated, see the messages below, and ad-nauseam in the lounge.

A Dead ringer for Kate Winslett[^]Thanks for your help but what about Author Point[50 Point] it's also invisible because of "reputation points are being re-calculated". :sigh:

The points are being re-calculated over some database tables for all categories, as there are currently 7.5 million members (give or take 800 :-) ), this will take some time. Exactly how it all works is shrouded in mystery, lost in some hamster cage probably made of mummies or frankincense or flint or something :-) Sit tight, and I'm sure that your points will appear some time in the next day or so. [Edit] If not, re-report here!

- This is fixed, though caching means you may still see the old graph 2) You only get author points if you've posted an article, so your points are now correct

Hmm. My reputation tab is 200 author points short of my about tab. Never seen so large a difference. BTW: the recalculation was real quick, I never noticed; maybe also because I was away most of the day... :)

It is being run again, the Participant points were scooted. I pointed this out to #1 and he is redoing from start.

I'm surprised how things changed so much. I gained in author which I suspect is the bookmarking. Lost in debator and participant so overall approximately 400 down in total. :sigh:

Yep, new author points and debator points for being bookmarked. Don't know about loosing debator/participant points though, I haven't lost any. I seem to have lost 80 authority points, for no apparent reason. ADDED: what may have changed is this: I have noticed a lot of limits have been added to the FAQ, limiting almost every event to a specific number a day. If those limits now are effective, one could loose points. :)

You'd better stop posting in Lounge, you've already lost 3000 debator points today. :)

A discrepancy between the numbers on two different tab pages will not get solved by running things again, it seems indicative of a bug somewhere. :)

No, the problem was that the total is incorrect. I am currently at 1981 points. Given that there is 1000 for MVP, plus my daily ones for signing in and my weekly fives for surveys, it means all the points I should have accrued for comments on the other fora are uncounted.

Comments don't exist in forums; "general" replies in programming forums, and all replies in non-programming forums yield debator points. And as Chris already pointed out, signing in wasn't logged for years. BTW: The FAQ says "A member receives points for posting a new comment." Makes me wonder how they determine the newness. Some people post lots of "good answer" messages wherever they can. :-D

yes. This has worked before. And I don't really agree, if a comment-like reply in a forum yields debator or authority points, why would it yield points in a different category for Q&A? Look at the different ways to get participant points, posting a comment simply does not fit in that list. :)
