Very sad, and not new for New Delhi. These are not stray incidents, but "well established" crimes in capital city. I don't know about the maximum possible punishment of this crime, but the pace at which such incidents are going on, clearly reflects the deep sleep of law enforcing agencies, and the absence of strict laws.

It's as likely to represent the hopeless situation the criminals find themselves in, surely ? I said that before I read it, the crime turns out to be rape. In that case, it's my opinion that a bunch of hot girls who know karate should wander the streets, killing rapists. I wonder if the police would investigate THAT crime ?
