Hi, I bought a vps for experimenting. I want to run a c program as a separate process like apache (or a thread). I have the basic setup and i use putty to maintain the server. I dont have cpanel. How to run a c program which will be listening in a free port?

Do you not have RDP access to the server? ignore, never read the question properly. Why don't you use PuTTY to then put a remote GUI access server on the box. then you can run and do what you can as if you were sitting at it. See the thread at the link below. http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f64/how-to-use-putty-to-access-centos-gui-373906.html[^]
