I was in London for laser treatment again yesterday (the ninth session – ouch X|), and finally managed to locate a Starbucks and try a Mocha Frappacinno. It was very, very nice, and not at all rich. :) Yesterday was actually a bit of a milestone for me. Not only did I go into London in role (only the second time I’ve done it) but I also managed to put my makeup back on after treatment, which has never been possible before (the hairs that have been zapped turn very dark and the skin can be red and irritated). I carried a change of clothes with me just in case it didn’t work out, but next time I won’t bother. :) Afterwards I’d arranged to meet up with a couple of friends (one of whom I haven’t seen for 5 years) and as I had about two and a half hours to kill I did a bit of shopping in Carnaby St, then walked the length of Oxford St (very busy even on a Wednesday afternoon) before eventually finding a Starbucks near the Law Courts in Fleet St. It was pretty quiet in there (apart from a suit who kept staring at me…I got the impression he couldn’t decide whether to be confused by me or fancy me  ). Eventually Louise turned up and we headed off to a Chinese seafood restaurant in Queensway where we met up with my other friend Claire. All in all, it was a wonderful day…a real confidence boost when I needed it most. I finally got back home at about 11:30, and my feet certainly ached from all that walking (but then I will wear heels  ). This morning I was exhausted but happy. :) Anna :rose: P.S. The public announcement at work should be happening real soon now. "Be yourself - not what others think you should be"

Claire recommended the place as she's a regular there. ;) For the three of us the bill came to £102 (£25 of which was drinks), so it certainly wasn't all you can eat for £4.50! Anna :rose: "Be yourself - not what others think you should be"

Aaah, yes there is another nearby, but I can't recall the name. Mainly because when I lived in Bayswater I was spending all my wages on evening classes! Pleased to hear your insides aren't being eaten away by Mr Wu's acid sweet & sour pork right now! :-D

Laser treatment ? On your eyes ? Oh - HAIR !!!! Christian No offense, but I don't really want to encourage the creation of another VB developer. - Larry Antram 22 Oct 2002 Hey, at least Logo had, at it's inception, a mechanical turtle. VB has always lacked even that... - Shog9 04-09-2002 Again, you can screw up a C/C++ program just as easily as a VB program. OK, maybe not as easily, but it's certainly doable. - Jamie Nordmeyer - 15-Nov-2002

Yes, I figured it was probably to get rid of back and chest hair, I didn't even think of facial hair, oddly enough.
