An order of US Catholic priests has agreed to pay $166.1m. That's not dealing with the issue. "The order had argued paying out abuse claims would cause it to go bankrupt." That's dealing with the issue.

Does anybody care if a Paedophile Organisation goes bankrupt? I hope to live to see all religions bankrupted and shown to be the evil, dystopian, fascist organisations that they are. I have always maintained that Religionists need to seek psychological help. I understand that getting rid of religion won't stop child abuse, but it will remove the organisational ability to hide it.

Well, the two of us don't.

I think we are all well aware of that. :)

No, you'd have to get rid of the family unit, too. Los Angeles Diocese agreed to pay $660 million to 508 victims. San Diego Diocese agreed to pay $198 million to 144 victims. That's over $1 million per victim. 450 Native American and Alaskan Native victims get only $166 million. Shafted again.
